Midstream Metering & Integrity Upgrade

Sector / Client
Independent midstream operator: Niger Delta, Nigeria
Challenge
A legacy crude transfer network was running on ageing metering skids and manual corrosion monitoring. Custody-transfer figures were being disputed at reconciliation, and inspection depended on scheduled shutdowns rather than live condition data — leaving the operator exposed to both measurement error and unplanned downtime during peak throughput.
Approach
SEAM Energy opened with a Basic Engineering review and feasibility study across the affected lines, then carried the work through FEED into detail engineering and procurement of replacement metering skids and inline corrosion-monitoring instrumentation. Installation and mechanical completion were sequenced line by line alongside the operator's own operations team so throughput was never fully interrupted, with commissioning phased across the network. Throughout, SEAM managed the interface between the client, contractors and the regulator.
Result
The upgraded network was handed over within the approved capital budget and commissioned to full operational performance. The operator gained live integrity and measurement data across the system, replacing disputed manual reconciliation with auditable custody-transfer figures and giving a documented engineering basis for extending asset life.

Commercial Solar Retrofit for a Manufacturing Facility

Sector / Client
Industrial manufacturer: Abuja, Nigeria
Challenge
A mid-sized manufacturing plant was carrying two overlapping energy costs: an unreliable grid supply and heavy diesel generation covering the shortfall. Fuel had become one of the largest recurring line items in the operating budget, and generator run-hours were driving maintenance cost and downtime risk during production shifts.
Approach
SEAM Energy began with an energy audit to establish the facility's true load profile rather than sizing to nameplate capacity. That informed a combined rooftop and ground-mount array, with panels and inverters sourced through SEAM's vetted solar equipment partners. The system was engineered to integrate with the existing generator and grid connection rather than replace them, solar carries daytime load automatically and generation drops back only when it is genuinely needed.
Result
The facility now meets a substantial share of its daytime operating load from solar generation, cutting diesel consumption and generator run-hours along with the associated maintenance burden. Because the array was sized against measured demand, the client also holds a documented basis for phased expansion as production grows.

Hybrid Power for a Community Water Scheme

Sector / Client
Municipal partner, Cameroon
Challenge
A municipal water treatment and pumping facility served a community with intermittent grid access. Diesel-only backup made continuous operation expensive and logistically fragile: fuel delivery to the site was unreliable, and any interruption to pumping directly interrupted the community's clean water supply.
Approach
Drawing on both the Oil & Gas and Solar pillars, SEAM Energy designed a hybrid system pairing solar generation with the existing grid connection and backup generation, sized specifically against the treatment and pumping loads rather than the site's peak rating. Critically, the power design and the water infrastructure were engineered together under SEAM's Sustainable Water Solutions pillar, so pump selection and generation capacity were matched rather than specified separately by different parties.
Result
The facility gained a materially more resilient supply for continuous treatment and pumping, reducing dependence on scheduled diesel deliveries and the outages that followed when they were missed. For the surrounding community, the practical outcome was a more consistent clean water supply.
